(2010)Yes again upgrading the white LHD 325i coupe that was imported from Japan and locally registered, prior to purchase. It was then stripped all the way down and rebuilt, with the very ugly BLUE interior replaced by E30 M3 carpet (grey), a good condition M3 dash, console, and door cards left over from another RHD conversion.
This motor is a 2.5litre and has a set of SCHRICK 292/286 cams, a EVO sport late 1990 head, Evo3 2.5 crank, PPM rods and CP pistons. It has since had the head re-ported flowed and the rest properly rebuilt. An Alpha-N system has been fitted tuned together with a factory original DTM Carbon fibre air-box and intake ram, the exhaust is a custom mandrel bend single 3″ with “cat” from 50/50mm factory stainless headers. Engine and gearbox mounts are heavy duty type AKG!
The car body has since evolved with the fitting of genuine BBS e30 plastic bumper and guard flares as used in the 80′s, front and rear suspension and a coilover kit from a previous e30m3 purchased from the gold coast and driven to Perth, together with Apex 17×8″ alloys and “R” spec tyres. Mod’s include complete sunroof removed along with some sound deadning and diff mounted to steel plate in the boot floor!
Engine: E30S14 engine bored/stoked to 2.5 litre with Schrick 292/286 cams vernier wheels in a EVO sport late 1990 head, Evo 2.5 crank, PPM rods and CP pistons (11.5 ratio)to 50/50 extractors, throtle bodies bored to 48mm , alpha-n system with DTM Carbon fibre Airbox. (estimated 285 to 300bhp)
Gearbox: dogleg 5 speed close ratio gearbox(original 265/5 e30 m3 type)
Differential: BMW 8bolt 4.11 Ratio with Kaas LSD Centre
Brakes: Standard E30 m3 front and rear, cross drilled rotors with Ferodo DS2500 brake pads pushed by a Evo 25mm Brake master cylinder.
Suspension: E30M3 front and rear suspension (5 stud) with “Drift” style Japanese coil-overs ,EVO Alloy lower arms to nylon offset radius bushes .
Wheels: BBS RX type Apex 17×8″ or whatever has rubber on it!
Exhaust: DTM style single 3inch thin wall stainless steel tube through a 3inch hi-flow cat through to a single in duel 2.5″out rear Lukey stainless muffler
Bodywork: Standard 1986 LHD 325i coupe imported from Japan and locally registered, original BBS plastic body kit, carbon bonnet and sunroof plug, weight reduction by sound deadning removal to and thanks to last owner bining the sunroof lid and parts,complete sunroof cassette with steel cradle wiring,motor,etc removed saving over 20kg!
